Effective Date: August 1, 2026
Elevate With Karim (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides digital marketing services — including strategy, website design and build, content, and campaign management — to small business clients (the “Services”). Because we provide custom, labor-based professional services rather than a shippable physical product, this Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for our Services, rather than a traditional product return process.
This policy should be read alongside our Terms, which govern payment schedules and cancellations for your specific engagement. Where a signed proposal or statement of work (“Engagement Terms”) includes specific payment or refund terms for your project, those terms control.
Why This Policy Differs From a Standard Product Return Policy
Our Services are custom professional work performed specifically for your business — for example, strategy development, research, design work, or campaign setup. Once work has begun, time and effort have already been committed on your behalf, which is different from a physical product that can simply be shipped back unused. For that reason, refunds are evaluated based on how much work has been performed and delivered at the time of a cancellation request, rather than a fixed “return window” model.
General Refund Principles
We aim to be fair to both our clients and our business. As a general framework:
- Deposits or payments made before any work has begun are generally eligible for a full or partial refund, reviewed on a case-by-case basis, minus any non-recoverable costs already incurred (e.g., third-party tools or licenses purchased specifically for your project).
- Once work has commenced, refunds are assessed based on the proportion of work completed and delivered. Fees corresponding to work already performed are generally non-refundable.
- For retainer-based engagements, fees already paid for a current billing period are generally non-refundable once that period has begun, but you may cancel future billing periods at any time (see Section 5).
- We do not currently offer satisfaction-based refunds after final deliverables have been completed and delivered, since our disclaimers make clear that specific business results (traffic, leads, sales) cannot be guaranteed and are not, by themselves, grounds for a refund.
Every project is different, so exact refund amounts are reviewed individually rather than governed by a single fixed formula. We are committed to discussing any concern openly and working toward a fair resolution before defaulting to a strict reading of this policy.
Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will generally not be provided in the following situations:
- Work has been fully completed and delivered according to the agreed scope.
- The engagement was cancelled due to your failure to provide necessary materials, access, feedback, or approvals within a reasonable time, after being given the opportunity to do so.
- You are dissatisfied with business outcomes (e.g., traffic, leads, conversions, rankings) that depend on factors outside our control, where the agreed deliverables were otherwise delivered as scoped.
- Third-party costs already incurred on your behalf (e.g., ad spend paid directly to a platform, purchased licenses, stock assets, or domain/hosting fees) are non-refundable regardless of project status, since these are typically non-recoverable once spent.
How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are entitled to a refund, or wish to discuss a cancellation, please:
- Email us at karim@elevatewithkarim.com with your name, the project or engagement in question, and the reason for your request.
- Include any relevant details (e.g., invoice number, project start date) to help us review your request promptly.
We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. Where a refund is approved, we aim to process it within 10 business days of approval, using the original payment method where possible. Processing times may vary slightly depending on your bank or payment provider.
Cancelling an Ongoing Retainer or Subscription
If your engagement is billed on a recurring (retainer) basis, you may cancel future billing at any time by notifying us in writing at least 14 days before your next billing date, unless a different notice period is specified in your Engagement Terms. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide partial-period refunds for a cancellation made mid-cycle, but no further charges will be made once cancellation is confirmed.
Fees and Costs Related to Refunds
We do not charge a separate “cancellation fee” beyond the value of work already performed and any non-recoverable third-party costs described in Section 3. Where a payment processor or bank applies its own transaction or currency conversion fees to a refund, those fees are outside our control and may be deducted from the refunded amount by the processor.
Disputes
If you disagree with a refund decision, please reply to our response with any additional context — we’re happy to reconsider in good faith where reasonable. If a resolution cannot be reached directly, the dispute resolution and governing law provisions in our Terms & Conditions will apply.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Changes will not apply retroactively to engagements already governed by previously agreed Engagement Terms.
